I’ve got metamask set up on 2 different devices. Should they both show the same info?

Short answer - yes.

Slightly longer answer:

You can have your MetaMask installed on different devices.

(In other words you can have your same MetaMask installed on as many different laptops/desktops/mobile devices as you like)

(SIDE NOTE: Don't forget - you will have to manually add the Contract Address of every asset you want to be able to see)

Once you have added the Contract Address for your tokens - whatever tokens you have in your MetaMask - will show on all installations of MM that you have.

For example - imagine you have MM installed on your desktop and on your laptop.

And imagine you purchase some EMP.

Firstly make sure you have the Contract Address of EMP added to both your MM installations.

Then you will be able to 'see' the EMP you have purchased in both of your MetaMask wallets.

However...

...the TRANSACTION HISTORY of your purchase - will ONLY show on the particular MetaMask that you used for the purchase.

In other words - if you have TWO MetaMask installations - whereas you WOULD SEE whatever asset you have listed in both MetaMasks (so long as you have added the Contract Address) - the HISTORY of the actual purchase itself - will only show in the 'transaction tab' on the actual MetaMask where you made the purchase itself.
